2.4 MW Hydroelectric Facility
Project included an innovative design concept that included an open flume delivery to the powerhouse passing 800 CFS through a 12’ diameter opening directly into a 2.4MW turbine generator. Automatic Trip Gates (ATG’s) will allow the plant to maintain a full forebay and avoid headloss while still protecting the run of the canal. Drop 5 required working around and near established wetlands, historical/archeological site and the clay loving buckwheat which is an endangered plant species. These areas were fenced and protected from being disturbed.
Commissioned Spring 2016.
