South Canal Drop 4 Hydro

4.8 MW Hydroelectric Facility

The project at Drop 4 included a 1,360 feet of 120 inch diameter steel penstock and a 4.8MW turbine generator.  Drop 4 had adequate space to excavate the powerhouse slopes while adding steps to stabilize the slopes. This included treating the slopes with a product to seal the soil surface and help prevent erosion.

Commissioned Spring 2015.
