After Keiko was relocated Mountain States was called in to convert the tank into the Passages of the Deep Exhibit. The exhibit construction consisted of the placement of a 112-foot long acrylic tube through the exhibit, allowing viewers to see the exhibit above, below, and to either side. The exhibit consists of a near coastal environment with a wave-making machine, a mid coastal environment consisting of a shipwreck separated by the viewing tube, and an open-ocean exhibit consisting of deep-sea life.
